A custom web platform built to manage courier bookings, shipment tracking and delivery operations.
Delivery operations involve constant coordination — a booking comes in, it needs to be assigned, picked up, moved, and its status needs to be visible to both the team handling it and the customer waiting on it. Coordinating that over phone calls and disconnected spreadsheets works at a small scale, but breaks down quickly as booking volume grows.
This case study covers a web platform built to bring booking, tracking and delivery status into one place, so staff can manage the operational side while customers get visibility into their shipment without having to ask.
A courier and logistics business needed a system to manage bookings, shipment status and delivery operations in one place, accessible to both staff and customers.
Booking and shipment status information was managed across disconnected tools, making it difficult for staff to coordinate deliveries and for customers to track shipment status.
We built a web-based platform covering booking intake, shipment status tracking and an operations panel for staff to manage deliveries end-to-end.
The technology stack for this project was selected based on the client's workflow, data and integration requirements at the time of development.
The platform gave the business a centralized way to manage bookings and track shipments through the delivery lifecycle, in place of disconnected manual coordination.
